Gonoshasthaya kit is not effective: BSMMU

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has informed that coronavirus antibody testing kit developed by Gonoshasthaya Kendra is not effective.

BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Kanak Kanti Barua disclosed this at a press conference on Wednesday.

“We've conducted the performance trial. The kit is not effective to detect coronavirus, but it can work for antibody detection. The kit will not work where there is no PCR lab”, he said.
