Govt discourages travel to China in wake of coronavirus

There is no ban on China travel from the side of Bangladesh government. However, the government is discouraging Bangladeshis from travelling to the country.
Following the issue, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said, “We are discouraging Bangladeshis from travelling to China. Although there is no restriction in this regard. But, we will remain alert.”
The minister said, the first patient of coronavirus was identified at Wuhan in China. A total of 500 students of us are live there. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities concerned to bring back Bangladeshis from China. Plane were kept ready. China was informed about the issue.
“Everything is Wuhan is shut now. No one is allowed to go outside. China said, people of other countries living in the area will not be allowed to leave the area till next 14 days,” he added.
