HC directive to hand over every overseas returnee to police

The High Court (HC) has directed to hand over every overseas returnee to police to keep them in quarantine in a bid to prevent spread of coronavirus.

The HC bench of Justice Mujibur Rahman Miah and Justice Mohiuddin Shamim came up with the order following the writ petition on Thursday.

Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond filed the writ petition on March 15.
