HC issues rule on paying Tk 50 lakh compensation for kid Zaima

The High Court today issued a rule asking the authority concerned to explain why it should not be directed to compensate Tk 50 lakh to the family of six-year-old kid Zaima who lost her right foot in a launch accident.

The court also ordered the authorities of a launch to give Tk 3 lakh within 15 days for the treatment of Zaima Newaz Tisa.

The High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order on Sunday.  

Barrister Anisul Hasan and Shaheenuzzaman Shaheen moved for the writ petitioner while deputy attorney general Tushar Kanti Roy stood for the state.
