HC issues rule over house rent control act

The High Court (HC) has issued a rule asking the authority concern as why the article 15 of the House Rent Control Act 1991 should not be declared as out of the legal authority.

The HC bench of Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Md Suhrawardy came up with the rule following a petition in this regard on Sunday.

The court also asked to know why an order would not be passed to form an investigative commission under the article 3 (1) of Investigation Law 1956.
