Husband arrested for killing wife in Habiganj

A housewife has been slaughtered by her husband over a family feud at Bharpurni village under Lakhai upazila in Habiganj district.

The deceased was Mahfuza Begum, 25, wife of Moksud Ali, 35, of the same area.

Police said over a family matter, Moksud Ali slaughtered his wife Mahfuza Begum, a mother of two children, on Monday midnight.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Habiganj Adhunik hospital morgue, said Officer-in-Charge of Lakhai Thana Ajoy Chandro Deb.

Police arrested Moksud Ali in this connection.
