Hello, how are you?
I am very well, Alhamdulillah.
From where you completed your S.S.C and H.S.C?
I completed my S.S.C from Bangladesh International School and H.S.C from Shaheed Anwar Girls’ College.
Tell us about your university life!
There is not much to tell actually. I had a very low key university life. Hated the subject I studied. I was miserable but that’s when I fell in love with baking.
Where are you working right now?
Right now in Daraz, Bangladesh.
Where did you used to live in your childhood? Tell us one memorable story from your childhood!
We moved around a lot since my dad was in the Army. There are so many memories! Which one should I tell you? Most of my memories are from Chattogram as I spent most of it there. But the most vivid memories I have is spending time cycling around in Chattogram without having to fear about getting kidnapped.
Is there anything that you wanted to achieve from your childhood and now you have got it? If yes, then what is that and how do you achieve that?
I always wanted to be good at whatever I am doing. Children have dreams to become teachers or doctors. But my only goal was to be successful in whatever I do, no matter what I did. Looking at my life right now, I am content with being an entrepreneur and a service holder, 2 worlds where I am respected and loved for my work.
In this moment we all know we have got some precious free time. So, what are you doing this time? Are you doing something productive? Then share it with us! We would love to know your activities.
I’m getting more sleep, that’s one big upside to this lockdown. But I have been working from home for Daraz although it doesn’t take as much time as before. I have taken a few online courses. I am researching new flavors and desserts for The Baking Pit.
What is your dream job?
What if I tell you and it doesn’t come true?
We have noticed that you are very talented in the baking section. Who taught you baking for the first time in your life and from where you got inspiration for that?
I’m a self-taught baby! My mom, grand moms no one is into baking. It was out of sheer frustration about my bachelors that led me to baking. One semester break I tried a few random cake recipes at home, that was the start to my baking.
What do you like to bake the most?
Cheesecake & Macarons.
Baking or decoration which one is the most harder you think?
Decoration for sure.
Since we noticed that you have opened your own business, behind that who inspires you the most?
My family inspired me the most.
In this way did you get into any troubles? If yes, then how did you overcome that?
Till now I didn't get into any trouble with any customers. Alhamdulillah.
In future do you have any plan to arrange a workshop so that young people can learn baking from you?
Actually, not in the near future for sure.
After 10 years where do you want to see yourself?
I want to see me and my family happy and content just as we are now.
In your journey who were always beside you and whom you want to say thanks the most?
My dad and my husband.
So, in series #30days30souls you are one of those 30 people. How do feel to take part in this?
I feel honored to be one of the 30. Thank you for reaching out to me and for your interesting questions.
And also, there are 29 more people like you who are passionate about their work and doing great for the world. Do you want to give any message to them?
Shine bright, live long & prosper.
