Illegal wealth: Ha-Meem Group MD Azad summoned

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned AK Azad, the managing director (MD) of the country's leading conglomerate Ha-Meem Group, for interrogating over allegations of amassing illegal wealth.

ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to risingbd.com on Wednesday.

AK Azad will have to appear at ACC’s Segunbagicha office on April 3, according to a letter signed by Mir Mohammad Jainul Abedin Shibli, Director of the ACC.

AK Azad was also a former president of apex business association Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
