Imran H Sarkar ties the knot

Staff Correspondent: Imran H Sarker, spokesperson of Ganajagaran Mancha, ties the knot with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid`s daughter Nadia Nandita Islam, associate professor of Linguistics Department of Dhaka University.

The marriage ceremony is set to be held on Saturday night.

Earlier the pre-wedding Gaye Halud of Nadia and Imran was held privately on Friday evening. Relatives and members of both families were present at the event.

Confirming the news, Imran said, "The wedding ceremony would be held on Saturday night. Please, pray for us."

Imran H Sarkar is a doctor by training. He received his MBBS degree from Rangpur Medical College.

He became a household name after the Ganajagaran Mancha movement started in February, 2013, to demand capital punishment for war criminals.
