Indefinite transport strike continues in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent:  Transport owners and workers have continued their indefinite strike in the district for the second consecutive day on Friday over a conflict between bus owners of Dhaka and Sirajganj.

They have stopped services of bus, truck, CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and battery-powered auto-rickshaw on roads, creating huge sufferings to the commuters.

On Tuesday, Sirajganj District Bus Minibus and Coach Owners' Association gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the Mohakhali association to resolve the conflict. But their demands haven't been met yet as a result they have continued the strike.

Over the conflict, bus service on Dhaka- Sirajganj route has been stooped for last seven days, creating sufferings to the commuters.
