‘Italy returnees showing no coronavirus symptom’

A total of 142 Bangladeshis, who returned from Italy, are not showing any symptom of coronavirus (COVID-19), Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) claimed today.

IEDCR director came up with the claim at a regular press briefing at Mohakhali in the capital on Saturday (March 14).

Flora said, “A total of 142 Bangladeshis arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on an Emirates flight this morning from Italy. Tests were conducted on all of them primarily but no symptoms of coronavirus were found in their bodies.”

They were sent to Ashkona Hajj Camp directly from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, she added.
