JP nominates Saad Ershad for Rangpur by-poll

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party (JP) nominated Saad Ershad to contest the by-election to the Rangpur-3 MP post with its ticket.

Party general secretary Mashiur Rahman Ranga made the disclosure while addressing reporters at Jatiya Party’s Banani office on Sunday.

The decision was made final during a meeting between two fractions of the party on Saturday night.

Earlier, in a press conference the party general secretary said that JP Chairman GM Kader will vie the Rangpur by-election.

On July 14, JP Chairman HM Ershad passed away. Later, Saad Ershad, the son of late Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad collected nomination form from the party office on September 3.
