Jahur Market in Chattogram catches fire

A devastating fire broke out at Jahur Hawkers' Market at Kotwali Thana of the Chattogram port city early Saturday.

The fire originated around 4.00am.

Around 15 units of fire fighters are working to extinguish the blaze, fire fighters said.

Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service Md Jasim Uddin said 15 units from different fire service stations went to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

The reason behind the fire and losses could not be known immediately, he said.
