Nahid’s father files case

Father of deceased Nahid, who died after getting seriously injured during Tuesday's (April 19, 2022) students-traders clash in Dhaka's New Market area, filed a murder case with New Market Police Station on Wednesday night.

Officer-in-Charge of New Market SM Kaium said “The case was filed around 12.30am. But the number of accused was not mentioned in the case”.

“We will bring the culprits under the purview of law”, he said.

Nahid, who sustained critical injuries during the clash between shop employees and Dhaka College Students in the New Market area, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday night.

He was an employee of a courier service in the Bata Signal area at Elephant Road.
