JnU VC not attending Jubo League meeting at Gono Bhaban

Vice Chancellor (VC) of Jagannath University (JnU) Dr Professor Mijanur Rahman is not attending Jubo League meeting scheduled to be held at Prime Minister's official residence Gono Bhaban on Sunday.

He, however, expressed his eagerness to risingbd that he will welcome the decision if he is given charges of Jubo League.

Mijanur Rahman said, “I will not attend the presidium meeting. However, I agree to accept responsibility if I’m given it. For this, I’m ready to leave office of Jagannath University (JnU) as VC.”

“I never applied to PM for VC post. She herself appointed me in the post. I have been doing my duty faithfully,” he added.

He further said, “Many leaders and activists phoned me to accept office of Jubo League when criticizes sparked over the organisation across the country. So, I’m saying that I can accept it and carry out responsibility exactly If PM gives me charges.”
