Juba League expels Rajib

Juba League has expelled its leader Tarequzzaman Rajib, also councillor of ward-33 (Mohammadpur) of Dhaka North City Corporation.

General Secretary of Juba League Harunur Rashid confirmed this after Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rajib from a house in Bashundhara residential area in the capital on Saturday night.

Rajib was expelled from the Juba League on the ground of breaching party discipline, he said.
Rajib was arrested on the basis of specific allegations brought against him in relation to extortion, landgrabbing and terrorism, RAB said.
