Juba League leader found dead in Bagerhat

Police found the body of a local Juba League leader in Singati village of Chunkhola union under Mollahat upazila in Bagerhat on Monday noon.

The deceased was identified as Chunnu Chowdhury, 48, vice-president of the union Juba League.

The victim’s son Sabuj Chowdhury said, “The body was found in a remote area where people don’t visit usually. My father had lots of enemies. May be, he was killed by someone, leaving the body there.”

Mollahat police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Golam Kabir said, on information, police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
