Jubo League leader killed in factional clash

A Jubo League leader was killed in a clash among two groups named Soinik League and Awami League in Rajshahi on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was known as Sanwar Hossain Rasel, 28, son of late Abul Kashem, hailed from Bastuhara area of district town. Rasel was member of Rajshahi metropolitan juba league committee.
Locals said, centering previous enmity, the supporters of Awami League leader Anwar Hossain Raza and Rajshahi Metropolitan Soinik League general secretary Sujan Ali locked into clash this noon, leaving six people critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 6:30pm.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) spokesperson additional deputy police commissioner Golam Ruhul Kuddus confirmed the matter.
