Justice JN Deb dies

Staff Correspondent: Justice JN Deb Choudhury, a sitting judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, has died of blood cancer at the age of 51.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Square Hospital in the capital around 4:00pm on Thursday.
Additional Registrar of HC Sabbir Foyez confirmed the news.
Justice Choudhury left behind his wife, a son and a daughter and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
According to the SC website statement, Justice JN Deb Choudhury was born on March 15, 1965.
He obtained LLB under University of Chittagong. He got enrolled as an advocate of the district court, the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of the SC on April 16, 1990; May 11, 1992 and November 4, 2001 respectively.
He was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court Division on February 12, 2015.
He is the author of “Labour and Industrial Law” students’ Edition (in Bangla).
