KUET to open new department

University Correspondent: Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) likely to open a new department, a press release said on Monday.

 

Sources also said, “The name of the new Department would be Bio Medical Engineering (BME).”

 

“The new department will be launched under the Faculty of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE) from 2014-15 academic years in the University.” the release added.

 

According to the release, KUET has got the approval of University Grants Commission (UGC) on July 17, 2014 following the university academic council meeting on September 12, 2013.

 

“A total of 30 admission seekers will get the opportunity for admission at the department for the first year honors course in the session.” the release also stated.
