Staff Correspondent: A large number of people gathered at the Kamalapur Railway Station on Friday to get their hands on advance tickets to their desired destinations for Eid-ul-fitr.
People were seen waiting outside of ticket booths from this morning. The line of ticket seekers became long. Advance tickets of inter-city trains scheduled for June 2 are being sold today. Tickets for June 3 and 4 will be available on May 25 and 26 respectively.
Besides, return tickets for June 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be available on May 29, 30, 31, June 1 and 2 respectively.
Kamalapur station manager Aminul Haque said, the railway department is kept alert to avert any kinds of irregularities during ticket sale.
The Bangladesh Railway started selling advance tickets ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. But the “Rail Sheba” application failed to give the desired services as a huge number of people tried to take tickets using the mobile app at a time.
