Khadiza’s condition further improved

Staff Correspondent: The condition of Sylhet college student Khadiza Begum Nargis, who is still undergoing treatment at the Square Hospitals in the capital, has further improved, doctors and family said.

Mirza Nazim Uddin, consultant of the hospital`s Medicine and Critical Care Unit of the hospital, told risingbd.com on Wednesday: “Khadiza’s condition has further improved, she is well.”

An operation has been done in her throat two days back for facilitating oxygen movement. Through this,  Khadiza’s dependency on life support will reduce gradually, Nazim Uddin added.

Khadiza’s father told risingbd.com over phone: “Doctors say Khadiza is improving gradually. Her ventilation will be opened soon if Allah wants.”

Khadiza Begum Nargis, a student of Sylhet Government Women`s College, was brutally hacked by Badrul Alam, a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), with a machete on the campus of Murari Chand College (MC College) on October 3.
