Air Marshal Shibprasad Chakraborty, a brave officer of the Indian Air Force and one of the friends of the Bangladesh Liberation War, passed away on Wednesday night.
He was 92 years old.
This heroic son of the Indian state of Tripura played a significant role in the surrender of the Pakistan forces in Chittagong in 1971.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb confirmed this in his facebook page.
