Liberation War organiser Shahjahan Siraj no more

Former minister and one of the organisers of the Liberation War Shahjahan Siraj passed away on Tuesday.

He breathed his last around 3:30pm while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital (former Apollo Hospital) in the capital.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed his death.   

Siraj was a former minister of BNP during its 2001-2006 tenure.

He left behind his wife, a daughter, a son and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
