MP Liton murder case verdict on Nov 28

A Gaibandha court fixed November 28 to deliver its verdict in the murder case of Awami League lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton (Gaibandha-1).

District and Sessions judge Dilip Kumar Bhoumik passed the order this noon after prosecution and defense both concluded their arguments in the case.  

On December 31, 2016, Gaibandha-1 lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton was killed after unknown assailants opened fire on him inside his home at Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha.

Later, Fahmida Kakoli Bulbul, elder sister of Liton filed a murder case with Sundarganj police station.
