‘Madaripur-Shibchar-Faridpur to be locked down if necessary’

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said the government will enforce lockdown in those areas where the coronavirus situation will deteriorate.

Madaripur, Shibchar and Faridpur are among the areas likely to face lockdown.

The health minister made the disclosure while addressing a press briefing at his secretariat office on Thursday (March 19) afternoon.

“Most of the 17 people diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19) are from those areas mentioned,” Maleque said.
