Madarsa student killed in Madaripur

A madrasa student was killed allegedly by his teacher in Sadar Upazila of Madaripur district on Wednesday.

The deceased was known as Asif, a student of class two in Gachhbaria Qawmi Madrasa. He was a student of Anwar Hossain Matubbar, hailed from Srinathadi village of Kendua union of the upazila.

Police and local sources said, Madrasa teacher Yusuf Ali beat the victim two days ago. Later, again the kid was physically tortured on Wednesday, leaving him dead.

Madaripur Sadar Model police station officer-in-charge Sawgatul Alam said, the madrasad boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Later, doctors declared him dead.
