Madrasa student dies of dengue in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent: A madrasa student died of mosquito-borne dengue in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira district on Thursday afternoon.

Alamgir Gazi, 14, died on way to Dhaka from City Medical College Hospital in Khulna.

He was the son of Sirajul Islam at Sreekola village in the upazila.

Deceased’s elder brother Sujon Gazi said Alamgir was admitted to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex on August 19 where he was diagnosed with dengue.

He was taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital in the morning after his condition deteriorated where doctors referred him to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
