Main Eid jamaat held at National Eidgah

Staff Correspondent: The main Eid-ul-Azha jamaat has been held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the capital at 8:10 am on Monday.

Like previous years, around 100,000 Muslim devotees including 5,000 women took part in the congregation.

Muslim devotees, including the President, chief justice, cabinet members, politicians, and diplomats joined the congregation at the National Eidgah.

After prayers, they sought divine blessings and prayed for peace and prosperity of the country.

Necessary arrangements, including waterproof shed, sitting place, toilets and ablution facilities were set up at the Eidgah under the supervision of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman conducted the munajat.
