Man arrested over cutting off wife’s hair

Police arrested Shahed Fakir, husband of housewife Khadiza Khatun in a case filed for torturing her and cutting off her hair over a family dispute in Bhangura upazila of Pabna yesterday.

Masud Rana, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhangura police station, said the victim Khadiza filed a case yesterday afternoon accusing three people including her husband Shahed Fakir in this connection.

Following the case, police conducted a drive at Shahed’s house at the night and arrested him. Later on Saturday morning, Shahed was produced before a court and sent him to jail.

Centering a family dispute, Khadiza’s husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law tied her with rope around 3:00am on Friday and cut off her hair after torturing her.
