Man to die for killing wife in Barguna

A court in Barguna sentenced a man to death in a case filed over killing wife in Patharghata upazila of the district in 2008.

Borguna's additional district and sessions judge AEM Ismail Hossain delivered the verdict on Wednesday.

According to case statement, Bachchu Hawladar, 55, killed her wife Hamida at Amtola village in Patharghata upazila of Barguna in 2008 and later buried her beneath the soil.

Following this, victim’s mother Jahanara filed a murder case accusing Bachchu.
