Maradona to visit Dhaka

Argentine football legend Diego Maradona will visit Dhaka on the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 2020.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag confirmed this to risingbd on Tuesday.

He said, “It is confirmed that Maradona is coming. But we will disclose later when he will be here.”

Maradona is currently the coach of Argentine Primera División club Gimnasia de La Plata. He is an all-time great. The left-footed genius won Argentina their second world title in 1986 with performances that will continue to be a major part of world football’s history. 

He also coached Argentina in the 2010 World Cup.
