Minni too sick to speak, father claims

Barguna Correspondent: Family members have met with Ayesha Siddika Minni, wife of Barguna’s slain Rifat Sharif, in the district jail.

Minni’s father Mozammel Hossain Kishore along with her mother and siblings met her at visiting room of the jail around 11:30am on Saturday. Several members of intelligence agency were present there and they were monitoring their conversation.

Emerging from the jail, Minni’s father told journalists that his daughter Minni is too sick to speak.
Claiming her health condition as serious, he said, “Minni is too weak to speak to me. I was not hearing her words during the conversation. I could not understand her words.”

“We have no scope to freely talk with Minni like other inmates. Members of Intelligence Agency always follow us,” he alleged.

Minni was arrested on July 16 in the case filed over the sensational Rifat Sharif murder in Barguna. Her husband Rifat was hacked to death on broad day light in front of Barguna Government College at her presence on June 26.

The incident sparked a huge criticism after the video clip went viral on internet.
