Modern circular bus service begins Mar 26

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon has said modern circular bus service will begin on Dhanmondi-Science Lab-New Market-Azimpur route from March 26.

Twenty to 25 BRTC buses, some of which will be air conditioned, will operate on the route which will have 36 stoppages in total, he said.

The mayor came up with the disclosure at a press briefing at Nagar Bhaban in the capital after a meeting regarding the issue on Wednesday.
In every stoppage, the buses will be available every five minutes and the buses will stop at every stoppage for a certain amount of time, he added.

Old and unfit buses will be removed from this route, he said.
