Mother, son killed in Barishal road crash

A woman and her son were killed and injured four others in a road accident on Patuakhali-Barishal-Dhaka highway on Saturday noon.

The deceased were known as Delwara Begum, 60, Shipan, 35, hailed from Sriramkathi village of Nalchity upazila in Jhalakathi district.

Witnesses said, cement-laden a speedy truck hit a three-wheeler (locally named Mahindra) in the Sagardi Alia Madrasa area around 1:00pm, leaving the two dead on the spot.

Barishal Katwali Model police station Officer-in-Charge Nurul Islam confirmed the matter to risingbd.
