Mumin confesses to PMO document forgery

Tariqul Islam Mumin, expelled vice-president of the central executive committee of Bangladesh Chhatra Legue (BCL), has given confessional statement in a case filed over Prime Minister Office’s document forgery.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Yeasmin Ara recorded the statement on Friday.
Earlier, Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Ur Rashid produced Mumin before the court after he willingly gave his consent to the confessional statement during his two-day remand.
Mumin and two others accused in case were put on a four-day remand each on May 8.
Later on May 13, Mumin was placed for another two-day remand.
The other accused are: PMO office assistant Fatema and Farhad.
PMO director-7 Mohammad Rafiqul Islam filed the case against them on May 5.
