Sports Desk: Bangladesh have set a 239-run target for Sri Lanka, thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim's brilliant innings of 98 runs, in the second ODI of three-match series at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Sunday.
Bangladesh fell in trouble as Tigers lost top five wickets for just 88 runs in 24.3 overs.
But wicketkeeper batsman Mushiq (unbeaten) lifted the side to 238 runs in 50 overs. However, it’s a matter of regret that he missed century just for 2 runs.
He scored 98 runs off 110 balls which includes 6 fours and a six.
In the crucial moment of Bangladesh innings, Mushfiqur Rahim along with Mehidy Hasan Miraz took Bangladesh past 200.
However, Mehidy went back after posting 43 runs off 49 balls with 6 fours.
Sabbir Rahman was run out just for 11 runs off 19 balls. He hit 2 fours in his short innings.
Senior batsman Mahmudullah returned to the pavilion after scoring just 6 runs while Mohammad Mithun for 12 runs.
The two openers Tamimi Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar were removed just for 19 and 11 runs respectively.
The hosts beat Bangladesh in the previous match by 91 runs.
