NCC polls: EC orders outsiders to leave N`ganj

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has ordered outsiders to leave Narayanganj from today midnight as Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) is going to polls on December 22.

SM Asaduzzaman, director (Public Relations) of the Election Commission, confirmed this to risingbd.com on Monday.

He said, "Narayanganj returning officer Nurujjaman Talukdar has issued an order in this connection."

According to the order, the outsiders staying here will have to leave the polling area by 12:00am to keep the NCC election above influence.

Besides, the district administration has banned the use of authorised arms in the area for next seven days (December 19 to December 25).

All types of meetings, processions and rallies have been banned, Asaduzzaman added.
