New law aims to bring discipline on roads: Quader

Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader opined that the new road transport law was enacted to bring discipline on roads.

The minister said this while addressing a program of Noakhali district Awami League in Noakhali on Wednesday noon.

He said, “The law was enacted to bring disciple on roads. The solution of the problem regarding transport strike will be solved after a meeting between Home Minister and strikers.”

Meanwhile, he urged the transport workers not to provide sufferings stopping vehicles plying.

Awami League joint secretary general Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Organizing Secretary and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Member of the parliament Ashim Kumar Ukil, Mirza Azam and other others attended the function.
