Nilu floats new alliance

Staff Correspondent: Sheikh Shawkat Hossain Nilu, who was expelled from the 20-Party Alliance, has floated a new alliance comprising a part of his National People`s Party (NPP) and other nine small parties.

The new alliance titled National Democratic Front (NDF) has emerged through a program held at Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Thursday.

Alamgir Majumder, who was also expelled from the 20-Party Alliance, has been made secretary general of the newly floated alliance.

In his speech, Shawkat Hossain Nilu said more parties would join the alliance.
