Nine new HC judges take oath today

Newly-appointed nine judges of the High Court will oath today (Monday).

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain will administer the oath at the Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court around 10.30am.

Following an order of the President, the law ministry issued a circular on Sunday regarding appointment of nine new judges.

The new judges are Kazi Ebadat Hossain, KM Jahid Sarwar Kajol, Kazi Jinat Haque, Md Mahmud Hasan Talukder Mintu, Dr. Jakir Hossain, Sahed Nur Uddin, Dr. Akhtaruzzaman, AKM Jahirul Haq and Mahbubul Islam.
