Ninth wage board to be declared this month

Secretariat Correspondent: Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that ninth wage board for journalists will be declared within July month.

Obaidul Quader made the assertion while addressing newsmen at his secretariat on Monday.

He said, “It is not logical to keep it hanging. I think, it is possible to announce it in this month.”

Replying to a question regarding BNP-Jamaat’s involvement with Awami League, he said, “Look, it is a previous decision of us. No party against independence will be able to join our party. We won’t allow them here.”

Obaidul Quader also said, “Many young persons were elected as member of the parliament in last election. As a result, there is no crisis of leadership in our root level.”
