No allegations of serious offence found: EC secretary

Md Alamgir, secretary of the Election Commission said, no allegations of serious offence or violation of code of conduct found during the ongoing campaign ahead of Dhaka North and South City Corporation election.

The EC secretary made the opinion while addressing a meeting with law enforcers at Agargaon election commission building Basement-2 in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

He said, no major allegations of offence found yet. The environment of election is normal.

The election commission is committed to hold a free and fair Dhaka city corporation election. So, the law enforcing agencies have to play a role here.
