No threat on Pahela Baishakh: Home minister

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said there is no threat of any attack ahead of Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year.

The minister said this while addressing newsmen after visiting security measures at Ramna Batamul in the capital on Saturday.

He said, “There is no big challenges this time. There will be no major problems to celebrate Baishakhi programmes. Law enforcers including police, RAB personnel are kept alert.”

“Criminals will try to create anarchy using their merit. But, our security forces are ready to face all types of challenges,” he said. 

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javed Patwari, DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia and others attended the function.
