Noagaon put under lockdown

Noagaon district has been locked down in order to contain the transmission of coronavirus or COVID-19 although no coronavirus cases have been reported in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Md Harun Or Rashid in a public notification announced the lockdown for the district for an indefinite time with coming into effect at 6 pm on Wednesday (April 15).
Additional District Magistrate Wahidul Islam confirmed the matter.
Public entry and exit to the district have been restricted until further instruction, the notification said.
All kinds of public transport and people's movement will also be restricted, it said.
But emergency services will remain out of the purview of the lockdown, it added.
