Non-voters urged not to visit polling centres: DMP Commissioner

Dhaka Metropolitan Commissioner (DMP) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam has urged non-voters not visit and gather near the premises of polling stations.

He said, “Non-voters will not be allowed to polling stations and areas around.”

He also urged voters to bear National Identification (NID) card for casting their franchises.

DMP Commissioner told this to reporters after inspecting security measures in several polling stations in the capital on Friday.

He further said, law enforcement agencies have been instructed strictly to remain alert so that nobody can create any violence during polls.
