Octogenarian Rabeya finally gets exemption from arms case

The High Court (HC) has exempted an elderly woman from an arms case filed with Tejgaon police station in 2002, 18 years after the case was filed.

The woman was identified as Rabeya Khatun.

The HC bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan came up with the order after hearing a bail petitions on Wednesday morning.

Advocate Ashraful Alam Nobel appeared for the petitioner while Assistant Attorney General Shahin Mridha stood for the state.
