One shot dead in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram:   A man has been shot dead at a business establishment on Fouzdarhat Link Road in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram.

The deceased was identified as Prime Mover driver Md Shahjahan Saju, 48.

Saju was shot on Wednesday afternoon at ‘Kafin Enterprise’, a sister-concern of Didarul Alam and Brothers owned by local Member of Parliament Didarul Alam.

He was immediately taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he died at night.

Chattogram Prime Mover Trailer Association announced a strike from 6.00am on Thursday protesting against the killing.

Mohamamd Mainuddin, president of the association, made the announcement at an emergency meeting Wednesday night.

The motive behind the killing could not be known yet.
