PM directs to prevent dengue just after landing at airport

Senior Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed country men and leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) to strengthen cleanliness programmes across the country to prevent dengue menace.

The Premier came up with the direction just after landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from London 10:45am on Thursday.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader revealed this while speaking at a programme arranged over Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatuneesa Mujib’s birthday at Dhanmondi on Thursday.

He said, “PM is putting emphasizes to prevent dengue menace just after returning home. She said now it is the only thing to prevent the deadly Aedes mosquito. For this, we have to make Bangladesh aware in this regard.”

The Minister also suggested homebound people for blood test if someone had suffered from fever.
