PM issues directives to bring discipline back on roads

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued a set of directives to bring discipline back on roads.
The directives include: no stoppage of vehicles where and there on roads, making rest houses on highways for drivers and ensuring work hours of five hours. They should take rest if it needs to run vehicles for more than five hours.
The premier gave the directives in the meeting of The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) held at Nec auditorium in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday.
Planning Minister MA Mannan told this to the reporters after the meeting.
He said, “Ecnec approved four lane project on Khulna-Chuknagar-Satkhira highway in the meeting. PM gave the directives while discussing the project.”
